The item editor is gaining custom icon support very soon and that should help you set up your software license icons just the way you wish. We do not yet support dragging an app onto the item editor to set the icon but please let me know if that's something that would be valuable to you.
That actually is something that would be useful
Last, could you help me understand the difficulty you’re having with attachments?
We have several types of links and attachments (some of which are new in 1Password 8 ) so I want to make sure I understand where you’re having trouble.
1Password 8 supports Document items where the item in 1Password is centered around a single file. Those can be moved from vault to vault (within the same 1Password Membership).
1Password 8 also supports File Attachments where you can add a file to an existing 1Password item using the + add more button. Those items (and their attached files) can also be moved between vaults (again within the same 1Password Membership).
Last, 1Password 8 supports Linked Items, which is a reference from one item to another item in the same vault. Since the reference is built to always refer to items in the same vault, this relationship cannot (at this point) work across vaults (or 1Password Memberships). However, we are having internal discussions about how to make this sort of thing work, though I can’t commit to any kind of timeline.
Which one of these attachment mechanisms were you having trouble with? Let me know so I can dig in a little further with you.
It was the last one. These were files that were attached to secure notes in my vault but as you note, they do not transfer across vaults even though the attachment files were also copied to the other vaults.
