Global shortcut does not work in Wayland/Xwayland
Running on Ubuntu 23.10, using Xwayland (just switched from Xorg) and Nvidia driver 555.42.02.
The global shortcut (Ctrl-Shift-Space) which used to work in an Xorg session does not work in a Wayland session.
I can't switch back to Xorg, unfortunately, because some issue related to the Nvidia driver is causing noticeable input lag in GNOME Terminal.
Anyone know of a workaround?
More info:
- shortcut works if I have MS Edge browser in focus
- shortcut does not work if I have GNOME Terminal in focus
- shortcut does not work if I have the Desktop in focus
- shortcut does not work if I have non-deb Firefox (i.e. installed from a plain tarball) in focus

Hi whoopingcrane,
I understand you're facing an issue where you're unable to use global shortcuts when in Wayland mode. Have you attempted setting the shortcuts within Gnome? I'll leave an article with instructions on how to accomplish that below:
