If you click the 1Password icon on your Task Bar, 1Password 8 will appear and have the name 1Password followed by 3 pull-down dots:

Did you unzip the .zip archive, or did you just double click it, and not drag the archive contents to your Desktop?
Is your Desktop folder local, or on some remote cloud system like OneDrive?
