How do I assign a Category to an existing item?

I'd like to assign a Category to items so I can find them more quickly.

    Hello @gmby,

Thanks for your message. Former Member is correct (thanks for the assist) - it's not possible to change the category type for an existing item. If you are using categories to sort item and created an item under the wrong category, creating a new item and copying over any relevant data is the best option. Tags is also a great suggestion to help manage your items. You can read more about this here: Organize with favorites and tags

You cannot change the category of an existing entry. It's not really a category meant to group items by, it's more the template that defined the default data fields within the item at item creation (you can add custom fields afterwards).

However, to further categorize your items, you can add tags. You can even add multiple tags to one item to add it to multiple groups.
I tagged every item in my vaults and completely ignore the categories.
