Hmmm... Dave, not an inspiring answer. I think I'm using 1Password for Safari on my iPhone. What else would run on iOS? And, what I described is the behavior I'm seeing on iOS. Not personally a fan of Touch ID or Face ID.
Seems inappropriate to blame this behavior on Apple. 1Password could easily remember that its UID and PW had been correctly entered, say for 10 seconds or 15 seconds, and simply feed Apple whatever the Apple autofill technology requires. That time interval could eve become a user setting.
Can you tell me, is this on anyone's radar in 1Password development? Is there a plan to address it, meaning make it better? It is a nasty usability issue, and it is inconsistent 1Password behavior from one 1Password platform to other 1Password platforms. And when I say that, please don't make the good ones bad just to achieve consistency... I really would like to not have to repeat the PW for every little portion of a transaction. That doesn't seem like too much to ask for. This behavior actually discourages the use of strong passwords for the 1PW master PW. That can't be what y'all want...
