How to Update from v.7 on old Mac to v.8 on New Mac

My friend just set up her new iMac and migrated from the old one. Her (very) old iMac was running such an older OS that did not let her update to v.8 from within the app. She paid yearly. So before she downloads the latest version onto her new iMac, will she be able to use her Secret Key or other login info to access her data?

What is the best procedure to update to v. 8 and access her data?

    Thank you for the question! It sounds like your friend already has a 1Password memberships since she's paying an annual subscription. Can she see all of her items when she logs in to her 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)?

    If she can then she can download and install 1Password 8 from our website, sign-in, and all of her items will instantly appear: https://1password.com/downloads/mac

    If she doesn't see all of her items on 1Password.com then I recommend that she send an email to support@1Password.com so that our team can assist further.
