Is 1Password 7 for Mac the last one that doesn't require a 1Password login/account?

Looking at the posts and instructions is appears that if I start working with 1PW beta v8, that I now have to setup an account? Could you confirm? Sorry if I've missed a post or FAQ on this. ...
