Safari-extension not working on self hosted app

Hi!

I'm running a little home server with an instance of https://patchmon.net (among other self hosted apps).
For some reason, the Safari extension does not propose an auto-fill of my login credentials (which are correctly stored in 1P.
My system is up to date (macOS 26.2, latest 1P and latest extension.

Any idea how to fix that?

Thanks!

  • Hello everyone,

Our development team has released a fix for an issue that prevents 1Password from filling login credentials on HTTP websites, including non-HTTPS localhost websites. The fix is included in the latest stable version of 1Password in the browser (8.11.29.1 or later) and is available in the Chrome Web Store and Apple App Store with the Firefox version being reviewed and set to be released as soon as possible.

I'm sorry again for the inconvenience that the issue is caused. If you still experience issues after updating to 8.11.29.1 then let me know and I can help further.

Hi cashewless thanks for following up!

I'm glad that you're no longer having issues filling on HTTP sites after updating the 1Password browser extension.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if there's anything else we can assist with!

  • Hello folks,

Our development team is currently testing a fix for an issue that prevents 1Password from filling login credentials on HTTP websites, including non-HTTPS localhost websites. The fix is currently available in the nightly version of 1Password in the browser and we hope to release it to the beta and production versions as soon as possible. For the time being, the best workaround is to copy and paste (or drag and drop) your login credentials into the website in question.

If you'd like to help us test the fix then you can find the nightly version for various browsers here (there is no nightly version for Safari): Use 1Password beta or nightly releases

I'm also having this issue with all browser extensions for several self-hosted apps. Please fix this! I'm tired of copy pasting my login info.

Please fix this, or at the very least revert to the previous version.

      Yes this is urgent.
I am sure it is fine for my self hosted resources but I am curious aren't lots of 1Password customers enterprise users with internally hosted services that have the same issue?
Wonder why it was not caught by testing before release.

I also started noticing today 1password on chrome on mac m1 is no longer auto filling on my explicitly configured "only fill on this exact host" unencrypted (http not https) selfhosted services (it does not work on either `192.168.x.x` or a hostname that resolves to a `192.168.x.x` ip)

    chrome extension version 8.11.22.27
