Update: following this helpful guide (https://1password.community/discussion/141799/how-to-ubuntu-22-04-03-desktop-clean-install-reliably-get-firefox-integration-working#latest) Firefox and the desktop app are now in sync. I'll have to dig into a Chromium solution.
