4 years agoI have today upgraded to 1Password 8 on Windows and immediately ran into this issue with Firefox. Like the OP I have very good and longstanding reasons for running my browsers in private mode and never remembering history.
I use (and have often recommended) 1Password as part of an overall browsing security and privacy strategy and was particularly shocked by the glib instructions provided to simply Turn on “Remember history” or “Use custom settings for history”. This advice was provided with no discussion of the privacy implications of doing so or any justification for why the 1Password extension now works in a way that requires users to significantly degrade their overall privacy.
Please rethink this implementation of the browser add-in and at the very least provide an explanation and justification for why such a design decision was made.
