[Mac] Suggestions based on currently open app not present in 8 Beta
In 1Password 7 on Mac, I could put an app name in the website field and 1Password would suggest entries that matched the currently focused app. For example, if I have Microsoft Remote Desktop focused and an entry in 1P had a website URL of "app://com.microsoft.rdc.macos", then that entry would appear under suggestions and then I could copy/paste the password from there.
1Password 8 Beta does not do this in the new quick search popup. Is this on the roadmap? Or is there another way to flag an entry to be matched to an app?
I do see that you can autofill using Accessibility, now, though! That is a welcome feature over copy/paste!

1P_Ben - Oh, I just figured it out! To get the association, I have to do an "autofill" while in the app, but universal search doesn't prompt me for one unless I go deeper into "More Actions" and then I can hit "Autofill" and associate the login. I think this works for me and replicates the version 7 feature!
1P_Ben Thanks for the info! One followup thought/request - in version 7, I could manually associate a password entry with an app (see sample screenshot below), and while I really love the new deeper integration, I do a good bit of CLI work I would love to have the feature back where I could manually associate the login entry with Terminal, and then I would have my regularly used password at my fingertips instead of having to search for them in the universal search each time.
Ok, just to clarify, it'll only fill local sudo prompts in Terminal where the prompt has a key in it? For example, below. The reason I ask is I use
tmuxas a multiplexer and haven't had success getting it to auto fill sudo prompts in Terminal. However, it does work when you see the cursor with the key in it.

Yes, this is the expected behavior - the AutoFill function is designed to only fill into identifiable username and password prompts (and local sudo prompts in Terminal).
Wow. So that's what that option does. 🤣. That worked!
Now let's talk about the Terminal app or "app://terminal.localhost". That does not work. Text does not get "played back" into where the current cursor is. Is this expected behavior at this point? I've been meaning to start using 1P CLI anyways, but have just been copying/pasting from 1P7 so far.

Great question! If you choose to fill from Universal Autofill, you'll be prompted to either just fill the Login item or update the Login and then fill. After you update the login, that item will be suggested again in Quick Access the next time you open it. Let me know how you get on with that!
