Safari 1Password extension asks to be unlocked when 1Password app is already unlocked.

Here is the sequence. on macOS 26,

• Open 1Password for Mac 8.12.12 and unlock it.
• Open Safari (V26.4)
• Go to chase.com login page

The Safari 1Password extension asks me to unlock 1Password. BUT it is already unlocked in the app.

Why do I need to unlock 1Password twice?
