If you're using 1Password in the browser to update a password, and the save item prompt is offering to create a new item, rather than updating an existing one, you can click the drop down to select an existing Login to update instead.

It isn't currently possible to have 1Password 8 open up to a specific tag, or to trigger an Open and Fill by clicking twice on an item in the item list currently, but I can definitely see how that would be useful, so I'll share it with the team

Well, no response to my questions. And I've spent considerable time with this latest version. Version 8 is harder to use. It's not intuitive. Additionally now I've discovered using Watchtower and identifying weak passwords, when you change the password 1PW doesn't update the previous 1PW entry instead creates a new one, but only capturing the new pw. I don't mean this sarcastically I mean this is a respectful way - do you guys ever field test these updates with normal real people? That being defined as ppl that pay bills and login to savings etc? Because I've been using 1PW for years and I do all the bill paying etc, but my wife who is not ignorant with regard to computers would be totally lost with this software because it's not intuitive or easy to use. So I guess I'll just stumble along.

Ok... so it's still not clear to me why my existing version doesn't offer the update as in the past but okay ... I downloaded and installed the new version. And as it is with most new things there's some adjustment and 'getting used to'. That's fine. Couple of questions though please .... In the prior version 1Password opened to one of my Tags - how do I get it to do that now? Also, in the previous version you double click on the name of an item and it goes to that site - now it opens a submenu ... extra step .. more confusing - how do I set it so I can double click on the named item and it goes there? Thank you

Yes, all of your information will come along for the ride. Everything will be pulled in from your account on 1Password.com. No need to update 1Password 7 to the latest.
