MacOS: application window keeps closing in the background

https://vimeo.com/848785308?share=copy Not sure if this video will help or not. the problem is that I open and use 1Password as normal, then start using another application, or several. After a period of time, I need to get some information from 1Password, so I use CMD+TAB to switch over to 1Password, but the application window is no longer available, and I have to restart the program. By itself, not a big problem, but I do this several times a day, and this problem always interrupts my work flow and is kinda annoying.
