I saw Signal Messenger had the same issue, and they changed some code from https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Desktop/compare/v5.2.0...v5.2.1. Maybe this will help the DevOps team 1P_PeterG to find a solution, I discovered the same with Logiteh Options+.
