Master Pass with different vaults is strange

i have a work vault and a "family" vault - there's times when I have to re-enter my master password but its unclear to which vault its asking for my password to. Whats the deal ? 1Pas...

Hello tb582! 👋

Thanks for the question! When you enter an account password into the app, 1Password can only unlock the account that the password is associated with. The other account will be locked until you unlock it separately. The recommended way to use multiple accounts on the same device is to use the same account password for both accounts: How to use multiple accounts

Once both accounts are using the same account password, they'll unlock at the same time. Your account password never leaves your device and each account still has a unique Secret Key.
