Microsoft account setup for Passkey

I just saw this message because I was wondering the same about the Mac. "Go passwordless" forces you to install Microsoft authenticator.

But I did what you suggested, went through the USB security option, and it works fine on my Mac. If I look on my iPhone it shows me that there's a Passkey in 1PW for that site but when I go through the login it simply copies my password in, then I get prompted for an OTP, instead of using a passkey. What am I missing? I can't set it up on the iphone because there's no USB security option showing when using an iphone.

Any updates or workarounds?

In Firefox it is not recognizing. I am using https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info then Add Security Key > USB Device and then it asks for actual USB device. 1Password is not prompting

On that page, click "(+) Add a new way to sign in or verify", then "Use a security key".

Follow along as if you were adding a USB security key, and 1Password will offer to save a passkey for you.
