Multiple 1Passwords Issues
Don't want to jump on the bandwagon of the move away from native macOS app but getting very tired of the stability of 1Password on macOS. In the past I never thought about password management. 1Pass...

I'm having the same Safari Extension issue. I just upgraded from 1Password 7 to 8 a month ago (as the release for v8 was disastrous and I needed to revert back to v7) and otherwise all is good except the issue with 1Password for Safari where it stops offering autofills and passkeys randomly. Full Safari restart always fixes this until it happens again (quite often to be honest). I could be wrong but I think that version 8.10.70 had less these issues than 8.10.72, but as I said I've only been using v8 for a month so I don't have much user experience data gathered at this point.
EDIT: Correction, Safari Extension is still at version 8.10.70 but my other 1Password apps have updated to 8.10.72. So it's not that then.

5 months agoI'm sorry that you're running into issues with 1Password for Safari. Are you using Safari 18.4? If you are then it sounds like you're running into a known issue that our team is working with our friends at Apple to resolve where certain filling and saving features are getting partially broken in the latest version of Safari.
The next time that the issue occurs, and you're not able to fill your login, can you try to open the same website in a new tab and see if that gets things working for you?

1P_Dave It happened now and I tried that and it did not help. I also tried to open another web service which I have credentials stored in 1Password and autofill did not work there either. When this occurs there is always the issue where the 1Password Safari Extension just shows a loading indicator when the icon is clicked on the browser toolbar.
But, as always, a full Safari restart fixes the immediate problem.

I'm sorry that opening a new tab didn't resolve the issue. So that I can confirm whether you're running into a known issue, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
Send a diagnostics report (browser extension)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

Hi Dave,
Yes, I'm running Safari Version 18.4 (19621.1.15.111.1, 19621) on Sonoma 14.7.5. I have two Safari profiles setup (Personal and Work) which both have 1Password Extensions configured and filtered with different vaults for different context. I have the "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app" active and the integration status is normally Connected (green).
I can try the new tab trick next time. I can also confirm that when this issue occurs, clicking the 1Password icon on Safari just opens the extension window without any actual 1Password content, so it's not loading either. Meantime, 1Password desktop app, Chrome and Firefox extensions work flawlessly.
