I'm sorry for the delay in replying. 1Password 6 is no longer supported and versions of the 1Password app that predate 1Password version 7.9 no longer work with 1Password accounts. You can update to 1Password 8, the currently supported version, by following the steps in this guide: Upgrade to 1Password 8
If you already have a 1Password membership then the upgrade is already included with your subscription. If you run into any issues with the upgrade then please send an email to support@1password.com and our team will be happy to help.

I'm on a Mac. Pops up randomly. Not within the browser, which is Safari.

You don't mention or tag what platform you are using, but this looks very suspicious. Is this appearing on your desktop or in your web broswer?
In any case on any reliable platform, you can and should use your trusted software management tools to check for updates to installed software. For example, in Chromium based web browsers you should use Extensions to manage and update extensions.
Platforms on which software often implements its own update process - checking, schedule, notifications, interface, etc. - present a serious problem to the user. Nevertheless you can and should check the current version of 1Password in Settings > About, then compare that to the current release for your platform. Please follow up with your findings so that others who encounter the same thing and end up here can learn the result.

Hi Reeseter, thanks for writing in. Could you let us know where you're seeing this popup? A screenshot would be helpful, just be sure to exclude any personal information.
