Quick Access and resizing windows

I'm also going to be downgrading from 8 back to 7... v8 breaks 1Password in every way I use it. Quick Access is annoying... I want my favorites list, or suggestions, or something other than a blank field when I click on the macOS menu bar. Why can't I resize windows?! I have a huge screen, why can't I use more of it?!
