"Quick Access" window can't fill logins in browser now?

With 1Password 7, when I had a website's login screen active in my browser, I could trigger 1Password Mini, which would detect that website and could fill my login information. Now with 1Password 8, ...

Thank you for explaining, Jack. Here are the problems I encounter with this setup:

  1. 1Password for Safari often does not unlock when 1Password unlocks. Sometimes I have to unlock both apps separately. Sometimes I just have to press the unlock button on 1Password for Safari, and then it realizes it should be unlocked. Either way it is a frequent friction point that I did not encounter in the past.
  2. The Fill in Browser shortcut works only maybe 60% of the time. I don't know if it's a problem with the websites I'm on, or with the previously mentioned unlocking problem, or just some inherent unresponsiveness of 1Password for Safari. Needless to say this slows me down all the time.
