Thanks James for offering another datapoint.

1P_Dave​ I've played around with this a bit more. If you paste https://secure.royalbank.com/signin.html into the Safari address bar it works as expected. This is more-or-less what you observed above.

However if you launch "Open & Fill" from either the 1Password application OR the Safari toolbar, it does not work as expected.

So, most likely, it has something to do with how Open & Fill is implemented. (And as a pedantic note, some places it is spelled "Open and fill" and other places "Open & Fill"!
