Good question! We don't have an official recommendation from 1Password, but Apple recommends making a backup and then erasing your phone before you send it in for service. That seems sensible for a situation like yours where it might be multiple days or they're just going to fully give you a new device. Once you get your phone back or your replacement phone, you'll be able to restore from the backup and you'll be back in business!
I hope this helps and let us know if you have any questions!

Thank you Simon
I got lucky and they were able to replace the camera module in under 2 hours.
I had made the changes that I mentioned; remove wallet items, I did use Travel Mode in 1Password, which was very easy. Then while I was at the Apple Store they required me to log into iCloud and enter the “find my” app where they then put the iPhone into “repair mode”
it all worked very well and my phone is fixed.
What is Repair Mode?
Repair Mode, introduced in iOS 17.5, allows users to keep their iPhone's security features active while the device is being repaired. This includes maintaining the Find My and Activation Lock features, which help protect against unauthorized access.
Benefits of Repair Mode
- Data Protection: Your personal information remains secure during repairs.
- Tracking: You can track your device's location using the Find My app.
- No Need to Disable Security: You do not have to turn off Find My, simplifying the repair process.
