Hi, Dave,
Thanks for the info. Just to clarify, I think using 1Password to save logins and passwords to my Windows laptop, and then use Auto-Type, which enables 1Password to autofill without me logging in to 1Password, would allow anyone using my Android laptop to log into my bank and other sites, with the only protection left being the dual authentication to my cell phone. Is that correct? If so, I think that's too high a price to use that. I travel with my laptop a lot, and while I haven't left it anywhere yet, the odds are mounting that sometime I will. I'd love your thoughts.
Thanks, Richard

1 day agoHi Richard, thanks for your reply!
Just to clarify, Auto-Type can only be used when 1Password has been unlocked, so anyone who gets hold of your device would need to be able to unlock it with your account password (or biometrics if you have them enabled) in order to access your data.
If you want extra peace of mind while travelling, you may want to consider adjusting your auto-lock settings to lock 1Password whenever your screen locks or after a shorter period of inactivity, to ensure it's always locked when you're not actively using it.
Another feature you may find helpful is travel mode. This allows you to temporarily remove vaults that contain sensitive information from the apps and extensions on your devices. This can be helpful in situations where you know you might have to hand over your devices for inspection while travelling.
We also have a support article that covers what to do if your device is lost or stolen that I would recommend having a read through: If your device was lost or stolen, and it has your 1Password data on it
