Safari extension doesn't work on Safari Technology Preview

ModeratorI'm glad that 1Password for Safari is working. You shouldn't need to set Safari Technology Preview to be your default browser in order for 1Password to work correctly, are you able to share what happens when you make another browser default? What stops working?

If regular Safari has been set as a default browser then it would fire up every time I try to use 1pw extension while using STP. So basically in order to use the extension with STP, Safari launches first if not launched already. Even with Safari open, the extension on STP shows blank extension window from time to time although unlocked.
There is no such issue when STP has been set as a default browser. So I'd suggest it as a workaround for now.

Thanks for the reply. I've set Safari as a the default on my own Mac and I'm not seeing any issues when using 1Password for Safari in Safari Technology Preview. Safari doesn't open if I'm just using 1Password in Safari Technology Preview.
Are you clicking on a website address, or on "Open and Fill", from inside of the 1Password desktop app? That would cause the website to open in your default browser.

Came here as I experience the exact same thing. I have Edge as my default browser and Safari Technical Preview installed. Every time I want 1Password to fill something for me in STP it shows that it's locked and if I click on the app extension icon in STP, regular Safari opens as well, and in 2 out of 4 cases it unlocks 1Password in STP as well, but some of the time it just remains locked.
If I set STP as my default browser in macOS, it works fine and as expected. And I also thing that having regular Safari as default browser, also works. It's only when you have something other than Safari or STP as default when this happens.
