Safari extension stops unlocking and filling [See pinned response]
Every day the safari plug in fails to work until I restart Safari. Any idea why? I'm talking about autofill in login boxes. When I click on the 1p icon in the menu bar it spins for a while,...

We’re sorry about the issues that you’ve reported when using 1Password in Safari. We’re happy to share that the latest update to macOS and iOS includes improvements to Safari that resolve a bug where 1Password's suggestion menu would stop working and autofill will stop filling in certain situations.
- If you’re using a Mac, update to macOS version 15.6: Update macOS on Mac
- If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, update to iOS version 18.6: Update iOS on iPhone and iPad
We also recommend taking the time to make sure that you’re using the latest version of 1Password for Safari.Thank you for your patience as we worked with our partners at Apple to resolve the issue. If you're still seeing the issue then please send an email to support@1Password.com so that the team can help further. 6 months agoI'm sorry for the impact that the issue is causing. Apple is currently testing a fix for the issue in the latest versions of Safari Technology Preview and we're hopefully that a fix will be released for the stable version of Safari soon.
For the time being, opening the website in a new tab should get things working again. If that doesn't work then restart Safari by completely closing it and then reopening it.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the continued updates! I feel for the position 1Password is in, and am hanging on since 1Password has generally been a stable product and really great team for the many years I've used it.
Is the team still tracking fixes to other issues in the Safari plugin aside from this particular one? I've emailed support about a litany of errors I get on a regular basis, and I don't think they're all tied up in this one problem that is pending resolution from Apple. It'd be good to know if I can expect resolution on those too; their response seemed to put it all on this delay from Apple.

The issue being discussed in this thread is pretty specific but it can manifest as different symptoms:
- Unable to unlock 1Password for Safari from the inline menu.
- Suggestions don't appear or fill on websites.
- Suggestions don't fill from the pop-up.
The team continues to work to address other issues, we just released an update to 1Password for Safari last week with the following fixes/improvements:If you're experiencing other issues then I recommend that you continue to work with our team over email. They'll be able to confirm if the issues that you're running into are due to a known issue or should be investigate further separately.
