Security Fault Found Version 8.9.14 (REALLY!!!)
I have 3 icons to open 1PW. One in the Dock, one in the menu bar and the last one as a browser extension in FireFox. This is a new problem that appeared after the last update. If i open 1PW using the dock or menu bar 1PW won't allow me to continue without first clicking on the browser icon extension and retyping my password. Odd. But here's the fault - If I go to the dock and click on 1PW bringing up the app and I go to the dropdown menu 1PW and select "lock" the app locks. Then I go back to that drop down menu 1PW and i select "Quite 1PW" the app closes. The app is closed. The little icon for 1PW in the menu bar now shows the 1PW icon with a lock. Fine. THE BROWSER 1PW EXTENSION ICON DOES NOT LOCK GIVING ME FULL ACCESS TO MY PASSWORDS. ANYONE ELSE HAVING ACCESS TO MY COMPUTER HAS ACCESS TO MY PASSWORDS. HOW ABOUT A RESPONSE THIS TIME???
1Password Version: 8.9.14
Extension Version: 2.5.1
OS Version: MACOS 13.2
Browser:_ FIREFOX

1Password for Mac 8.10.6 still has issues, they do not share the authentication state. Any updates.

The 1Password desktop app and the browser extension communicate with each other using a technology called app integration. App integration allows the app and the browser extension to share the same lock state. There was indeed a bug with version 8.9.14 where app integration was broken which meant that the app and the browser were no longer communicating. As you mentioned, our developers have released a fix for the issue in the latest version of 1Password (8.9.15):
We’ve fixed an issue that caused the connection between the 1Password app and browser extension to fail in browsers other than Safari.

I'm sorry for any frustration that the issue may have caused.

And it's for this reason ... the cumbersome unfriendly poorly designed ver 8 that I won't update my IOS version. I so miss version 7. So do others. You guys would make a fortune if you returned ver 7 as a supported platform. I'd pay double to have a decent version.

Just looked and found an update 8.9.15 which fixed this issue. Notes identify this was the reason for the update. I complained about this yesterday too ... no response ... at least it got fixed.
