set a expiry alert - how is this supposed to work?
I added a new Software License and one of the fields is Purchase Date and under that is an option to Set expiry alert. Whenever I attempt to enter a date one year in the future it's entered as a date...

Right, I guess it threw me off because it was a pre-populated field "purchase date" with an option underneath to set an expiration date. Once I got over the engineering quirk I just created a new date field called "renew date", entered a time in the future... 6/16/2026, then added an alert for that on the same date. I like the idea I guess I am trying to understand how it was meant to be implemented. It was counterintuitive initially.

I find this unintuitive too. I don't even want to put in a date other than the notification. If I have to have two dates, it'd be nice to be have date I obtained card, membership etc, second date for notification about expiration date. I cannot do that with existing logic.
I don't know what the team was thinking with the current date logic. Why force us to have two dates when one can do?
It'd be great to have an object just for expiration date which triggers a notification day of (be nice to have optional time too); and a generic date object that we can title whatever and is just informational.
