Show matching logins in browser extension drop down

I recently moved from LastPass and overall I am very happy with my experience so far. However, there is something that LP did that 1P doesn't seem to do (or at least I can't find a setting to enable it):

When on a website login page, I sometimes need to access the Notes that are contained within the login item itself or I need to manually copy/paste the username/password if it doesn't fill properly. In LP, when I clicked on the browser extension icon, the matching logins displayed prominently in the drop down and I could easily access them. However, with 1P, it shows all logins and I have to take the added step to search for the login(s) I want to view.

Is this something I can enable? If not, can you please submit this as a feature request? Since 1P already filters the matching logins to the popup in the login form, it seems like it would be a fairly simple thing to extend that to the drop down as well.

Thank you.

  • Hello shingy! 👋

Thank you for reaching out! You can have 1Password suggest logins for the current website that you're on by following these steps:

    1. Open your browser.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings
    3. Click Appearance & shortcuts.
    4. Set "Open 1Password to" to "Suggestions".

1Password will now open to suggestions that are relevant to the current website that you have open. Make sure that all of your login items have the website address field filled in so that 1Password knows which items to suggest on each website.

Awesome, that worked. Seems obvious in hindsight!

    Thanks for your help, Dave.

1Password need to display matching logins entry count directly on browser's toolbar icon when a match is found on current domain. This is a mandatory feature that has been missing for ever.. 1Password has it, and I believe Bitwarden as well.

This is the only way to know instantly when you're browsing on a site on which you have an account with.. I'm not refering to the "Suggestion" feature from the dropdown menu, as this require an actionable step that is not desired here.

Here's Lastpass, instently warning the user that he's currently browsing on a domain on which he has a saved domain-matching entry account with... : 1Password doesn't ...
