Hi goswh​, 

I had been having this same issue for a while now and I finally got 1Password to create a agent.sock file. I had the CLI installed but never used it, after uninstalling the CLI with 

brew remove 1password-cli

and disabled "Integrate with 1Password CLI" in the Developer options, agent.sock was now there. Hope this helps!
