Standalone extension (no App Store access)

Apple requires that Safari extensions are distributed through the Mac App Store. I recommend speaking to your employer's IT department to ask for assistance with installing the extension through the Mac App Store if you need it for work.

The other option is to use a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox which allow the installation of browser extensions from their own web stores.

I'm having the same issue. In my case, my employer has blocked our access to the Apple App Store, thus preventing me from getting the Safari browser extension for 1Password.

That's correct, because 1Password for Safari is a Safari App Extension, the only way to access 1Password for Safari is through the App Store.

May I ask if there's a reason you're currently unable to access the App Store?
