Too many 1Password logins

Why is it that every time I attempt to login another website, the 1Password master login always pops up and asks me for the master password? I don't think this should happen. If I enter the password ...

The browser is Microsoft Edge. How do you check the version of 1Password? I don't see an 'About' under settings. Thanks for the reply.

    If it's 1Password in the browser click the 1Password icon and then select Settings and finally about. Just ensure you're not thinking of the web interface. That a different situation. Do you use the extension?
