TouchID losing focus

I have the same issue as this user: https://1password.community/discussion/117531/touch-id-losing-focus. Upon opening 1Password, the touchID input window has focus for a brief time but then loses focus. I need to mouse up and select the window to be able to input my TouchID. I would like to not have to do this: opening 1Password should just bring up the TouchID input window and not lose focus.

    No. The app is in a regular window. This happens quite often and the explanation in the given link seems to be a reasonable explanation for the behavior

    Thanks for letting us know about this. Is an app in full screen or Split View when you try to unlock 1Password? Let me know!
