Hey @sddawson ,

You don't need to uninstall the current extension, just disable it in Safari's preferences and install "1Password for Safari" from the Mac App Store.
The ramifications are exactly what you thought - you will have to unlock the extension separately from the desktop app (with your password, not Touch ID).
