Search Bar Typing on Launch

I'm having a pretty challenging issue in 1Password for iOS.

What ends up happening is:
when I launch and unlock 1Password (from it being locked) and start typing to search for the entry I am looking for the first 10-15 seconds the search bar constantly deletes my entered text as I type it.

I assume that it is doing this because it is indexing or something but it's really annoying because it makes 1Password basically unusable for those seconds while it sorts itself out.

The total time from launch till when I can type any words is 22s.

Notes about my situation:
I have 5000+ items
Across more than 15 accounts

Has anyone encountered this before?
What can be done about it?
