Upgrade but no secret key
My wife and I have been running 1P7 on two Macs, two iPhones, and two iPads. Finally took the bait to upgrade to 1P8 for a free year. While doing the upgrade on my Mac, it apparently flashed a screen with the secret key? I have a registered email and password, but no secret key; none of our devices are signed in, and I can't sign in anywhere because sign-in requires the secret key. It's a catch-22.
No emergency kit downloaded on my Mac.
So... how do I get my Secret Key? None of the online stuff or chatbot has been helpful.

Hello afrustratedmacuser! 👋
I'm sorry that you're having trouble signing into your 1Password account. Your account password and Secret Key are tools to decrypt your information and are stored on your device. They are never transmitted to us: About your Secret Key
You can find your Secret Key on 1Password.com if you have already signed in, or in the 1Password apps where you have added your 1Password account: Find your Secret Key
If you're not currently signed in to 1Password on any of your devices then you can find your Secret Key in your Emergency Kit which you would have downloaded when creating your account. If you don't remember saving your Emergency Kit, look in your Downloads folder for a PDF file named "1Password Emergency Kit".
If you can't find your Emergency Kit, or still can't sign in, then please send an email to support@1Password.com and include a link to this thread. Our support team will be able to help further.

I have a confirmed account with email and password, but none of my devices are logged in, so none of the "here's where your secret key can be found" are functional.
