I am under the impression that 1PW can be a 2FA. But every time I try to use it as such, it fails. Do I need a 2nd app, such as Authy, to generate the random code? Can I link that app to 1PW?

4 years agoHello @BuckeyeSpin! There is no need to use a second app. You can use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication. That guide includes steps for setting up items saved in 1Password through various methods, 1Password in the browser, 1Password.com, or within the apps (including Android).
Since you mentioned you were using 1Password 7 for Windows, the process is similar but you'll see a few different options for scanning the QR codes. I've included a quick demonstration below showing that you can copy and paste the string of characters or code provided by the website or click the QR code icon for some additional options:
If after reviewing this guide, you are still having issues with this process failing, can you provide some additional details describing how this is failing? For example are you having issues with the setup process or are the one-time passwords generated not working when requested by a website? Thanks!
