V.8 1password.installer leaves a 1Password 7.app.zip in Applications. Why????

Looks like version 8 is installed and opens. but what's the leftover for? First thing I noticed about 8, and absolutely hate, is you dumbed it down like the Windows version so you can't sort by ...

Hello ClickCardo! 👋

You've hit the nail on the head, the "1Password 7.app.zip" file that you see in your Applications folder after installing 1Password 8 is a backup of the 1Password 7 app that is saved just in case. It won't cause any issues if you leave it where it is.

First thing I noticed about 8, and absolutely hate, is you dumbed it down like the Windows version so you can't sort by Date Used. Very Disappointing.

Sorting items by date last used hasn't yet been implemented in 1Password 8. We do have a feature request open for this and I've added your comments so that our developers are aware that this is something that you'd like to see.
