What happened to auto-fill passwords, and why does 1P8 when I quit it?

Completed the update from 7 this morning and work flow has slowed to a crawl. No more auto fill when I go to a site. Don't understand where that went to. When I quit 1P now I have to sign back in. All this internal security for a user pool of 1 is really slowing me down. Vey confusing all in all. Baffling. How to find the version of the extension seems to require opening several pages, signing in once or twice, I mean what is the point of this complexity? Passwords are an interface to the outside world, why is it so difficult to navigate the inner world of my computer? Why do I have in to talk to myself??

    I'm bashing my way through it. Found the preference pane that allows me to keep 1P from locking. That's huge. I'll get used to these changes in time I suppose as there is no other alternative.

    "Why do I have to sign in to talk to myself" is what I was trying to type.
