4 years agoWhere did the pin to page go in V8 web browser version
The feature to pin the web browser extension login data is gone. Where did it go? Occasionally a website breaks the link to what is listed in 1PW, and you need to manually copy/past login data from the browser extension. That function is no longer available, and I want it back.
1Password Version: 8.7.0
Extension Version: 2.3.3

I forgot to provide the instructions support provided me for downloading 1pw7 iOS:
Open the App Store app.
Tap the sign-in button or your photo at the top-right of the screen.
Tap Purchased.
Tap "Not on this iPhone/iPad." If you use Family Sharing, tap My Purchases or choose a family member's name to see content that they purchased.
Search 1Password then tap the download button. - Former Member
I guess getting this feature back pretty much dead. I still believe having the pin to desktop in the open file is better than removing your hand from the mouse/trackpad to enter a shortcut to do what a single click did.

I think you are too focused on password, ok the tool is called 1Password but you allow to save so many different things that you should take a more general approach when deciding to remove features in favour of one that works only with a subset of the items a user can have.
For things that are not websites i.e. Baking details the autofill feature is useless. I need to copy IBAN BIC Account number manually, the app cannot do it itself.
Having the data in a new window with CMD+O is not nearly as functional has having the window blocked in the foreground. I really don't see the rational to remove such an handy feature.

Hi,
I found pin to screen particularly useful for banking sites that required additional sign on features, like significant dates etc. I used made up dates and used 1Password to to identify whatever characters the sites asked for at login.

You're right, with improved autofill functionality, we've removed the ability to pin the window. As hazmat suggested, you can use ⌘O to open the full app window for copying and pasting.
Although, if there are sites that appear to be particularly problematic - we'd love to work with you to see if we can improve autofilling. Failing that, you can also try our drag and drop feature. This is a personal favourite of mine, and I've come to love it as a backup when sites are being troublesome.

I had the same question. Use ⌘O to open that item in its own little window. Pretty much the same as before.
