Old Tags Reappeared
1password for Mac version: 8.12.10, MacOS 16.4.1
Opened 1password on MacOS today, and suddenly about 20 tags that I had previously deleted reappeared (each showing "You dont have any items with this tag". No entries seem to have been lost or corrupted (as far as I can tell), but it's pretty worrying having something like this happen.
Is this a known issue? The tags have also reappeared on my other devices (iPhone etc).
Hello folks,
Our development team has resolved an issue where tags from archived items may have appeared in the 1Password app and archived items may have appeared in Quick Access.
Please update to version 8.12.12: How to keep 1Password up to date
If you're still seeing issues after updating then please let me know.

Hi drtimhill, pinskerj, Fooligan, and Horatio2000, thanks for reaching out to report this.
Archived items appearing in Favourites on iOS and in Quick Access on Mac are both known issues that our team is actively investigating. I've added your reports to the relevant internal issues, and I'm sorry for the disruption this is causing.
The issue with old tags reappearing isn’t something I’ve seen reported before, and I haven’t been able to reproduce it on my devices so far. It may be related to the issues I mentioned above, but we’ll need a bit more information to confirm that.
So that our support team can investigate further, could each of you create and share 1Password diagnostics reports from any affected devices:
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to: support@1password.com
With your email please include:
- A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/old-tags-reappeared/169258
- Your forum username.
You'll receive a reply with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks!

I am seeing this issue as well. I am also seeing archived items in my favorites on iOS and in macOS Quick Access.

Same/similar issue here: Favorites on Mac are ok. In iOS and iPadOS, there is a long list of outdated favs (even for archived logins), cklicking on them results in a jump to the start screen. note: sync of new logins does work.
