Why is app icon different in Linux?

I installed the latest 1Password on a VM of Linux Mint 21.2. The app icon is one I've never seen before and doesn't look anything like 1Password. Is there some way to use the regular app icon s...

Hey klieber, thanks for reaching out.

I tested this on a Linux Mint VM and encountered that same icon you're seeing. After some further investigation, this appears to be due to Linux Mint Icon themes overriding application icons with their own versions.

I noticed that the Mint-Y theme appears to be using a default "password" icon for 1Password rather than the actual app icon. Changing to a different icon theme (such as Mint-X or breeze) resolves things:
