[44] Integrating Psst! with the 1password CLI v2

I'm a big fan ever since https://blog.1password.com/psst-item-sharing/was introduced by 1password and it would be great if there was a way to create Psst! (share.1password.com) links using the command line tool.

To give some context on how I use Psst! currently for some of my workflows:

We store credentials for databases on 1password, and some times we need to share this information with people who don't use 1password or with whom we don't want to share an entire vault. Currently I generate credentials using a script and share the info with them using Psst! via the Mac App. It would be really handy if the entire process could be scripted, which would be possible if the CLI supported generating them.

This happens rarely enough that it hasn't been a pain point, but I thought I'd provide the feedback now since this seems like the appropriate time to do so.

Thanks!

Great! I assumed it would be a flag but it’s a sub command. I missed that - thank you!

Hey @smanojkarthick! Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Starting with 2.0.0-beta.8, the 1Password CLI also features the ability to share items, with op item share. See https://developer.1password.com/docs/cli/reference/management-commands/item#item-share for the appropriate documentation.
Let us know if this helps you, or if there is any other functionality that you would like to see in the CLI.
Your feedback is much appreciated, so keep it coming! Thanks, once again, for trying our product.

    Best,
    Horia
