Bug when trying to unlock 1Password during Screen Sharing

Today I'm noticing a difficulty when using the 1Password CLI tool during a Screen Sharing session.

With 1Password configured to unlock by Touch ID, and while connected to a remote Mac, attempt to use the CLI to retrieve a credential. The 1P modal pops up to ask for Touch ID verification. However, there is no way to fallback to typing in a password (as there is with the Apple Watch unlock flow).

Furthermore, the 1Password app continually re-locks itself just a few moments after unlocking.

It's making it pretty hard to run scripts that depend on credentials in 1P.

  • Also experiencing both issues: Cannot unlock as I get a prompt for Touch ID, and cancelling the request closes 1Password. Similarly, 1Password app continually re-locks itself just a few moments after unlocking. It's likely the issue is with the Auto-Lock detecting that the device is "locked".
