CLI signin fails if biometric enabled and using ssh
This question was asked before but the discussion was closed without any answer.
I need to login via SSH to my remote computer where I have 1password installed, and from there use again SSH to login into a computer in the intranet.
Because on my remote computer 1password is configured to use biometrics, I cannot unlock 1password from CLI when operating remotedly.
The only alternative I know is to disable biometrics altogether or to avoid using 1password for managing certificates. In either ways, I do not see it as an increase security, just rather less secure and lack of service from the side of 1password.
Please add a command line option where the user can signin with the password. Why would the password not be considered secure? Afterall, if someone knows my secret password for 1password, then has anyhow access to all my passwords. So, I don't understand why not providing an option when op signin
where I can revert back to using a password instead of the biometric authentication.
