3 years agoEvery new Terminal tab requires unlocking 1Password when doing `git pull`
I have setup 1Password for Linux (https://github.com/fatso83/dotfiles/blob/master/per-host-config/ubuntu/setup.sh#L205, https://github.com/fatso83/dotfiles/blob/master/shared.lib#L47) to be used as my SSH agent. This works well. One nuisance, though, is that every time I open a new Terminal tab for a given folder and do git pull
in the same git repo I am using in another tab, I get prompted to unlock 1Password (which has been integrated with the system unlock). Any way I can avoid this design or is this down to limitations in Ubuntu's security design? I am guessing unchecking the tick for system unlock integration in settings might resolve this, but that's not really a solution ...

Thank you. I had definitely missed that option. Sanity at last!

Hi @fatso83:
Do you have 1Password configured to prompt on every new application, or every new application and terminal window? This setting is available in Settings > Developer.
If it's set to every new application and terminal window, try setting it to new application and let me know how you get on with that.
