Is it possible to inject a OTP into a config file?

It was noted in this thread https://1password.community/discussion/134442/is-it-possible-to-inject-a-otp-into-a-config-file in October 2022 that an internal feature request was filed to get the "value" of the field rather than the reference (op:////

/one-time password).

Has this been done yet? If so, how can I inject the value?
