Community Forum Response Times

Hi Bits team,

I've noticed that official responses in the forums have been much slower lately as compared to a few years ago. One of the things I loved about 1Password was how active and responsive you guys were in the forums. One example I remember fondly is your Chief Defender of the Dark Arts penning lengthy security-focused missives in the forums in response to user concerns and questions.

That was one of the things that sold me on how seriously you take security, and what sold me on your support was that every single community forum post received an official reply of some kind, often within just a day or two.

Obviously you're a much bigger company now and things change, so please feel free to reset my expectations - are the forums less of a priority? Is it no longer the expectation that every forum post will receive an official response? It would be helpful to know, both for myself and also to help me direct people to the appropriate place depending on their need.

Thanks!

    Hi EnerJi,

I think I can speak for the whole team when I say that we appreciate you caring enough to make this post. Your feedback is how we get better!

Community is still very much a priority at 1Password. The Community team at 1Password is larger than ever – just like the number of customers we serve. Between the 1Password Community here and r/1Password, we’ve been seeing significant growth in the places users are gathering and we’re excited to support that.

The Community team responds to as many posts as we can and we’re lucky enough to have colleagues and community members who jump in when they can to answer questions and share updates. In fact, we’re working on some internal programs to get more team members involved, which I’m very excited for.

I hope you’ll still stick around, EnerJi, as we continue to work toward making this the best place for 1Password users to connect and learn. Granted I’m biased, but there’s something special about bringing together tens of thousands of people to share their collective knowledge!
