8 months agoHi AJCxZ0,
Thanks for giving the Markdown a thorough testing! I'll share this issue with the developers of the community platform to see if this is a known bug or if they have additional information they can share.

1P_SimonH, it has been almost half a year since the missing Basic Markdown (along with some Extended) was reported and we've seen no progress.

Hey AJCxZ0 — we did pass this feedback along to Khoros after your original post, and I understand how frustrating it is not to see progress—especially when these Markdown features feel like table stakes.
That said, since we don’t control the underlying Community platform itself, so there’s a limit to what we can do directly. We’ll absolutely keep advocating for improvements on your behalf, but realistically, changes like this are up to the Khoros team to prioritize and implement.
If they do release any updates that improve the editor experience, you can bet we’ll be all over it. Thanks again for continuing to flag this—your posts help keep accessibility and usability front and center.

I understand and appreciate the situation and your feedback, along with the pragmatic need to work with the tools we have.
Consequently, I won't complain about `code`... for a while...

That while is up at this, the half year mark.

I noticed that the double tilde for strikethrough is not implemented, but instead a single tilde.
