Not useful yet

Frankly this new forum seems rather useless so far.

Where can I find a list of the topics that I started? Or where I have commented?

Where can I find discussions about specific 1Password products, such as iOS app or Mac desktop? Where are the beta discussions?

What do those tags mean?

Why did the form fields to enter versions go away?

I really don’t want a Lounge. I want a product usage forum.

  • Hey Mirv! Thanks for joining us here in the new Community! While I'm sorry to hear you're not finding anything useful to you, I'd like to tackle some of your questions here.

Where can I find a list of the topics that I started? Or where I have commented?

Good question! You can access all of topics you've started and comments you've made under the "Contributions" section of your Community profile.

Where can I find discussions about specific 1Password products, such as iOS app or Mac desktop? Where are the beta discussions?

You'll find these over in the Password Manager category. We've organized this section with platform-specific tags (iOS, Mac, Windows, etc.) to help you quickly locate relevant discussions. The tag system actually serves as our new way of organizing content - they help both in finding existing discussions and in properly categorizing posts.

    Where are the beta discussions?

As for beta discussions, these have been integrated into the main Password Manager category to keep all related product discussions in one accessible location. If you're referring to the Community beta discussions, those have been archived for reference.

Why did the form fields to enter versions go away?

When it comes to the version form fields, that was a custom feature from our previous platform. While this specific functionality isn't available in our new platform at the moment, we understand its value and are gathering feedback about features like this for potential future implementation. For now, we encourage including version information directly in post content.

    I really don’t want a Lounge. I want a product usage forum.

While the Lounge isn't a new addition, it doesn't replace our product support focus  -  it's just one section of many. The main Password Manager category remains our primary space for product usage discussions and technical support.

I hope this helps tackle some of the questions you had!

Thanks, that is helpful. I’ll try to hang out in the Password Manager section. My main goal of participating in the app beta testing and on the forums is to help you guys improve the product.

        Hey Mirv,

        It's not all about you...

there are lots of other users using the community and I'm sure most of us are finding that the forum is not at all "useless" as you have suggested.

Hope you can have a more positive rest of the day.
